Follow-on programme to the Sharing Education Programme announed.

The Sharing Education Programme (SEP) was launched to develop transferable models of school collaboration which cut across the denominational divide in education in Northern Ireland in order to promote reconciliation processes.

The primary aims of SEP were to:

  • Develop sustained engagement between schools
  • Involving high stakes activities
  • With large numbers of pupils or high profile students with a leadership role
  • Aimed at encouraging mixed classes involving pupils from different schools working together, preferably in curricular areas aimed at public examinations

SEP II aims to build on the learning that has come out of the first programme, and strengthen the drive towards cross-sectoral collaboration in schools across Northern Ireland.

Please view the presentations given by Professor Gallagher on the SEP 2 Information Days to find out more about the programme, and how your school can get funding.
