Sharing Education Programme 'High Flyers'
spacer spacer

Pupils from Glengormley High School and Edmund Rice College are to take a shared flight as part of the SEP.

Approximately 60 pupils involved in the 'Inter School Citizenship and Relationship Enhancement Project' will enjoy a flight around one of Northern Ireland's areas of natural beauty, courtesy of Bombardier.

This event is to take place on 19 October 2008, and will give some of the pupils involved in the SEP a chance to meet outside of the classroom, and to have the benifit of a 'shared experience' together.

The flight route will be dependent on the weather, but the possible routes are:

  • Along the Antrim Coast to the Giants Causeway and back.
  • Along Strangford Peninsula, out over the Irish Sea to the Isle of Man and back.
  • A loop around the Mourne Mountains.

Bombardier have offered this as part of their High Flyers Flight scheme, and the schools thought it would be the perfect vehicle for the pupils involved in the Sharing Education Programme.
