Launch of St Malachy's College SEP Project

The Belfast Schools Sports Partnership (BSSP) was launched last night with speeches from Honorary President of the Partnership, Martin O’Neill, and Minister of Education, Catriona Ruane.

BSSP is led by St Malachy’s College and is one of twelve partnerships supported by the Sharing Education Programme.

The launch took place at the Baby Grand at the Grand Opera House on Tuesday 6 November, and provided an opportunity to share the vision of the BSSP.

The project's aim is to 'ensure that their pupils achieve and to enhance reconciliation through substantive and genuine partnership, through the delivery of high quality Physical Education and Sport'.

The BSSP involves a wide variety of sporting activites, and has the potential to include over 20,000 pupils from nine different schools.
